Kalamela Manual
Official rules and regulations for all participants.
- 1.The Kalamela should be conducted under the auspices of the Prathibha Vedi Sub Committee appointed by the Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam.
- 2.Only Sakhyam members are eligible. Members above 35 years are not allowed.
- 3.Each person can attend a maximum of 4 individual events.
- 4.One team per Sakha per group event is allowed.
- 5.To be eligible for Kalaprathibha and Kalathilakam titles, a participant needs to score 13 or more points from individual events. (Points from group events will not be counted).
- 6.Points System: Individual Events (1st Place: 5, 2nd Place: 3, 3rd Place: 1), Group Events (1st Place: 15, 2nd Place: 10, 3rd Place: 5).
- 7.Committee members and convenors of the Kalamela are not allowed to participate in any events.
- 8.The decisions of the judges and organizers will be final and binding.
- 9.A minimum of two participants are required for an event to be held and to award points.
- 10.No prompting or any other form of external assistance is allowed during the competitions.
- 11.All participants must strictly follow the instructions and guidelines provided in this manual.
